In my travels I’ve often needed to know if one of my websites was really down or not. Alertra provides a “spot check” tool to check a site from multiple locations around the world to see current server status.

This is fresh on my mind because I’m having trouble with my web host of another site. Web hosting is a whole discussion unto itself…don’t get me started.
