Way back in the day, I used InfoSpace for yellow page and special searches. I’ve stumbled across their latest application, trying to reinvent the way you search for local stuff.

What’s unique are the double search fields - just “Who or What” and “Where.” Simple, yet I haven’t seen this kind of interface for local searching anywhere else. The search results are very relevant, drawing on InfoSpace’s years of experience doing yellow/white page searching. Your previous searches get automatically saved in the dropdowns which are built into the search boxes. So, you can quickly run a search for several businesses or landmarks within the same city or state. I’d love to hear feedback on this if anyone has tried it out.
