This really is a great vacuum by Miele. I’ve been using it for about a year and a half, so I’ve put it through its paces. There’s serious HEPA filtration on this vac, which is great, and at the same time it’s very small and lightweight. Other makers of high filtration vacs seem to think we want to vacuum the floor with a boat anchor.

It auto-detects the carpet/floor height, so you don’t have to worry about setting the pile height like on other vacs. And the variable suction power is great. You would think, why do I want to reduce the suction? When you use the handheld hose, reducing the suction means the hose doesn’t stick to the couch or other surface when doing detail work. And there’s less chance of sucking up your favorite drapes or dog toy. This thing has a lot of suction, so it’s cool to be able to tone it down.

Cleans well. Durable. Filters excellently. What more do you want in a vac?
